In 2004, Vermont Refrigerated Storage (VRS) began business in what had been known as the Shoreham Apple Cooperative.

Regular and controlled atmosphere apple storage remains a large part of our business, with the ability to hold and preserve over 230,000 bushels.

Over the years we've made numerous improvements to our 70,000 Sq. Ft. facility including the addition of 500 kW of solar power. This has enabled VRS to substantially develop its dry, cold, and frozen storage capacity while dramatically lowering our carbon footprint.
